Okay, I do agree that the charismatics are crazy, but not for the same reasons that you do. My main question to you is: if people spoke in tongues in the New Testament, and if the apostles did all kinds of crazy healings, why would God stop doing that? I believe that the 1st Corintians 13 passage about "tounges fading away" and "prophecy ceasing" refers after the 2nd coming. If then, why not now?

Do you believe that God doesn't do miracles today, or do you just not like charismatics/pentecostals/faith healers in general?

Are they any crazier than the OP? they both go to extreme lengths to please a non existing deity.

How long until you realize there's no such thing as a "false teacher"?

The Charismatic Movement EXPOSED Oh, darn.

I saw the thread title after coming out of the 'gay marriage' thread. I was hoping for blackmail photos or a (slipperly slope/outed/caught with pants down) thing.

10,000 Christain sects, schisms and cults. Each one has at least 9,000 peer groups that point to them and say "THOSE guys are FALSE!" Big surprise that BJ has found a false teaching...

Gosh, I can remember the days when I had to try and prove that everyone outside my "group" were apostates or false teachers, and boy was it a full time job.

Now I just consider them all wrong and watch them fight. :D

Which is evidence that you were never saved to begin with, for you did not take your "conversion" experience seriously.

I'ld be happy if someone could tell me who died and made Bible Join the supreme judge of who is and is not "saved", because I thought some weirdo called Jesus had reserved that honour for himself. ;)

Only God knows who is saved. However someone that openly denies following Christ, and openly blasphemes his name most likely is not saved and is lost.

Jude

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, 15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

Bible John, I just wanted to let you know how much I love it when you start a thread, ignore people you try to engage in discussion about the subject of your thread, then only pop back in to tell people that they were never saved in the first place. I must say that it causes me to take you so much more seriously when you forgo discussion in favor of preaching.

If only God knows, why don't you keep your judging mouth shut then?

I thought the deacons had those little tactful tea towels behind the pulpit so that there wouldn't be any exposure?

(In case you lucky atheist dogs don't know, in charismatic churches they often have them to preserve the modesty of women in skirts "slain in the spirit". =D )

It's odd that you point to a terribly designed website listing false teachers and point to a book further exposing charismatics by John MacArthur when John MacArthur is listed on the posted website as a false teacher and heretic himself.

Do you support him or is he a wolf in sheep's clothing like your website suggests?

Holy Crap! You're right! There are like, 10 articles on that page dedicated to John MacArthur being a heretic! Bible John, in order to be consistent, you're probably going to need to part ways with that website.

For everyone else: the "Wolves in Sheep's Clothing (http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/wolves_in_sheep's_clothing.htm)" page on that website is really a hoot! The sheer number of bullet-pointed condemnations is amusing in and of itself, and there's quite a few names on there that you might not expect, along with a bunch that you might. "EXPOSED" and condemned on this website are:

Billy Graham (Mason and servant of the Antichrist)
C.S. Lewis
Jerry Fallwell
All Charasmatics and Pentecostals
Martin Luther
Lutherans
Martin Luther King Junior
Psychologists and psychiatrists
Pretty much all "Christian Rock"
James Dobson
Hank Hanegraaff
John MacArthur
Kenneth Copeland
Pat Robertson
Ray Comfort
Paul Harvey
Jack Chick (!)
Chuck Colson
Rick Warren
Bill Gothard

...and not a small number of others! It kind of makes you wonder who's does make the cut.

The whole website is really one gigantic proof of "Poe's Law."

As a former charismatic myself - I can still speak in tongues, it is a learned behaviour - should I start giving lessons? - I find it offensive how one group of xians attacks another all the time. What happened to ecumenism? What of catholic charismatics?

All this attacking and condemning to hell does not feel like love your neighbour.

What happened to the verses about those who call me Lord Lord but I knew you not? How do you know you have it right and everyone else doesn't?

Hypocrisy! Thou shalt not bear false witness. The truth will set you free.

And the other thing is their blindness to the huge magical elements in their belief systems, and how their rituals are mass hypnotism, continuously repeated.

He who is without sin cast the first stone.

Oh wait...how does the ''Father'' treat those darn 'unbelievers' again?

You forgot

Jesus Christ
Moses
Peter
Mark
Matthew,
Luke,
John
James
Bartholomew,
Mary,
Mary Magdalen,
Thaddeus,

All these are Spiritual Terrorists and going to Hell.
And they're not sure about God the father and the Holy Ghost, but they think they're damned too.

In fact everyone in the world who ever lived is a Spiritual Terrorist except for John McArthur and Bibble John, who are probably the same person.

John, you don't know squat about my experience and I think it is presumptuous for you to try and tell me that I was not serious in my faith.

This is what I love about your kind of Christianity, you just assume you have a basis to judge someone when you don't know shit about them.

How do we know you are saved? It could be very possible that Satan has deceived you into a false sense of salvation. For all we know you could be a tool of demons who comes here to push people away from belief with your asinine assumptions.

Hell, I bet you were never a truly lost person and never took your lostness seriously.
