Fuck you Viacom! Suck my sweaty fucking balls! You pulled the exact same shit when you fired John K from Ren and Stimpy! FUCK YOU! I hope you implode, you bottom-lining FUCKERS! Bad ratings MY ASS, you're just too wussified to allow something new and original to thrive! What are you going to replace it with? Another shitty Rugrats-wannabe?
GOD, I am SO PISSED OFF!!

it's a case of animated series being more appreciated by adults, but still shown on children's networks and timeslots. you're right, it's the same thing that happened to Ren and Stimpy and countless other series.

I HATE it when good shows go down the drain! Kids WB pulled the same shit with Batman(both shows) and Superman so they can make more room on their time slots for more shitty Pokemon reruns, and don't even get me started with TNT and Crusade...
We have the Justice League now, but Batman is only a part-timer and it is still produced by those fuckheads at Warner Brothers, so they could still pull the same shit all over again!

No way, that sucks!
I loved grr, and his "doom" song.

Yeah, cartoon network did the same to MS Gundam, cuz it had outdated animation (It's 20 years old) and didn't get then rating of the alternate universe gundam wing. Even though it's not a kid's show, some people think anime is for 5 year olds... <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" /> <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" /> <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" />

Me too. Another thing that just cracked me up was Zim's occasional Colonel Klink-isms. How many episodes of the show were there? I don't have cable, a friend had a tape that a friend of his made, with maybe 6 or 7 shows, the last one was the "time piggies", which was incomplete, the tape ended at about the point where Zim was trying to use his time machine to stop himself from starting the whole pig attack . . . how did that turn out?

can't remember how that one turned out, but it is by far my favourite ep. The part where he replaces the tricycle with the pig knocked me off my seat :D

You see, this is what I call the "Cartoons r 4 kidz" mentality. Stupid American TV networks assume all animation is geared towards a kiddie audience, and therefore, I have to sit though hours of "I'll destroy you Relina" on GW and then a bunch of kid's toys and shit in the commercials. Why is it so hard to understand that some animation is done for a teen/young adult audience?

Zim wrote a note on the last rubbber piggy and sent it through the portal, and in tune with it's dark strangness, Zims brain was replaced with rubber piggy he holds hos brain in his hand as his mouth foams.
What I wanna know what happens is the end of the "Invasion of the UFO crazies" (or soemthign like that and the end of the Haloween Special
My favorite quote from Invader Zim
Dib: Horrible, Horrible Images... Chacing me... won't stop... horrible monsters....
Teacher: "That's called life Dib. NOW TAKE YOUR SEAT!"

Gir came to rescue Zim, dressed in a bad-looking robotic disguise as Government Man. Zim used the pig device to envelope the Voot Runner, and he and Gir leapt atop the piggy, and flew away, laughing at the UFO cult. Then, the bee that downed Zim's ship earlier collided with the piggy, causing it to crash into a UFO convention.
At the end of the Halloween episode, the evil creatures began to escape Dib's mental plane, but when they stepped into reality, the first thing they saw was Gir, surrounded by the severely injured children he had tackled and stolen Trick-or-Treat candy from. Gir had eaten so much that he had become a huge, bloated, slobbery thing. The creatures promptly went right back where they came from. :)
I love Gir. It's amazing that a robot could be that disgusting, like when he ate a pizza by slapping the whole greasy thing against his face and sucking it in. I desperately hope some other network picks up the show.
My favorite Zim quote:
Newborn Zim: "I love you, cold, unfeeling robot arm!"

Gaaaah!
I was previously unaware of this wonder of animated humor (I don't watch mutch TV). A friend of mine recored the first episode and forced me to watch it. Now that I'm hooked, they pull it!
Way too cruel.

Maybe Cartoon Network will pick it up. They have an affinity for less childlike cartoons.

Wow, so many great quotes, I can't choose which I like best. Here's a taste:
Invasion of the Idiot Dog Brain
ZIM: You're in the house's computer?
GIR: Uh huh!
ZIM: You're the new brain?
GIR: I guess so.
ZIM: GIR, get out of there immediately and back into your own body!
GIR: Okay, sheesh! Lemme see. Unngh! UNNGGGHH!! UUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!! I can't.
{and later)
GIR: MUST OBEY THE TACO MAAANN!!
(and still later)
Cop Radio: Be on the lookout for a mobile home rampaging through the downtown area.
Cop #1: Can mobile homes rampage?
Cop #2: Must be one of them new ones!!
Germs
ZIM: Another win for the Irken Elite! Clean lemony fresh victory is MINE!
Dark Harvest
Kid (after hit with a ball): Arrgh! My organs!
ZIM: WAAAAAHHHHAHAHAHAHA! Inferior human organs!
(Zim gets smacked with the same ball.) OOHH! My squeedily-spooch!
Door to Door
MS. BITTERS: The school will be calling all of your parents to instruct them to love you less.
CLASS: Aaaawwwww!
Hamstergeddon
GENERAL: Now we're being attacked by a giant weenie! GET IT! GET THE WEENIE!!
Attack of the Saucer Morons
GIR (in disguise): I AM GOVERNMENT MAN! COME FROM THE GOVERNMENT! THE GOVERNMENT HAS SENT ME!
Plus, any one of the numerous times a character screamed "MADNESS!" or "IT'S MADNESS!!!"
*sigh*

Of course the series does end with a colony drop and from what I heard, was the primary reason why it was taken of the air because of all the immediate post 9/11 heightened sense of sensitivity that came as a result of the attacks.
I suppose I can see why the CN execs decided to put the show to rest, because a colony drop is a huge ass act of terrorism itself, but then again it was just an animated TV show. Either way I'm still pissed that they continued to run ads for it even after its cancellation.

why do people always mention these quotes, they are so unfunny and awkward as to detract from the show, and i would cite them both as the major flaws in their respective episodes (just my personal opinion of course). OTOH, the other quotes u mentioned are great, the squeedily-spooch line made me fall off my chair :D

Awwww.. <a href="http://www.sonic.net/~heatherd/FavoriteShow.wav" target="_blank">that's my favorite show</a>!
Maybe the show was cancelled because ZIM was <a href="http://www.sonic.net/~heatherd/banishfry.wav" target="_blank">banished</a> back to foodcourtia
Or perhaps he met his <a href="http://www.sonic.net/~heatherd/moosyfate.wav" target="_blank">moosy fate</a>!
:D
I wanted to add that what I loved about the show wasn't just the great lines, it really was in the delivery. ZIM, GIR, Dib and Gaz were just the funniest characters I've seen on TV in a long time. They will be missed :(

Well, that's where we'll have to disagree, because I thought the throw-away lines were part of its charm. "Must be one of them new ones!" unfunny? You must be snorting something.

Those are still on all the time.
My favorite cartoon characters are Foghorn Leghorn and Sean Hannity.
